Hedsor House wedding photography: Angelina & Dom

Angelina and Dom’s Hedsor House wedding, with three bridal looks, quiet preparations and portraits in the golden-hour light.

Angelina & Dom — Hedsor House · Buckinghamshire

Angelina and Dom’s Hedsor House wedding had the kind of beauty that makes you think of a film, but some of my favourite moments were the quieter ones that happened between the bigger events.

Quiet portraits before the Hedsor House ceremony

The morning included time for elegant bridal boudoir photographs with Angelina. These were soft, personal images, giving her a little space before the ceremony and capturing another side of the bridal preparations. I also photographed Dom during a quiet moment before the ceremony, making a few relaxed portraits while he waited.

Hedsor was a beautiful setting for their wedding. The Georgian country house, with its light interiors and extensive parkland, offers a lovely balance between grand surroundings and space for more intimate photographs.

I loved having room to photograph both of them separately before their ceremony. Angelina’s bridal photographs and Dom’s quiet portraits gave the gallery two beginnings, each with its own mood. Together they make the later pictures of the couple more meaningful: you have seen something of each person before their stories come together for the wedding itself.

The scale of Hedsor House could easily fill every photograph, yet the softer preparation images called for a closer view. That contrast was part of the pleasure of photographing here. There was space for an image that took in the house and its architecture, followed by a portrait where the surroundings became gentle and the person was everything.

Three bridal looks and the wedding details

Angelina brought her own sense of style to the day with three different bridal looks. Each added something new to the photographs, making the gallery feel varied while keeping her personality at its centre. Their beautiful cake was another detail I particularly loved photographing.

Three bridal looks gave this wedding an unusually varied visual story. I wanted each to have its own place in the gallery, while still feeling like part of Angelina’s day. A change of outfit can alter the shape and mood of a photograph, but it is the person wearing it who keeps the story connected. Her sense of style gave me so much to work with.

I felt the same about their cake and the other details within the photographs. They were worth remembering in their own right, and they also helped describe the celebration Angelina and Dom had brought together. Placed among the portraits, those images let the gallery move between the couple and the wider world of their wedding.

A Hedsor House celebration and golden-hour portraits

With both the ceremony and celebration taking place at Hedsor House, the story could unfold within one setting. There was room for the elegance of the occasion, but also for a drink in the golden-hour light before the party.

Keeping the ceremony and celebration at Hedsor meant that the house could become a familiar thread throughout the day. We could move from its interiors to the grounds, from the preparations to the celebration, while the photographs continued to feel connected. Hedsor House is in Buckinghamshire, and its country-house setting gave this wedding a character all of its own.

The drink in the golden-hour light was a particularly lovely part of that story. After the attention given to the bridal looks and the significance of the ceremony, there was room for something unhurried. That is the balance I wanted to keep in Angelina and Dom’s wedding photographs: all the elegance they had brought to the occasion, alongside the pleasure of simply being together before the party.

That is what stays with me about Angelina and Dom’s wedding: the combination of striking bridal portraits and small, unhurried moments. It was a day with plenty of glamour, but its beauty was never only about how it looked.
